Ol Pejeta is celebrated for its pioneering conservation efforts and is home to the only two remaining northern white rhinos in the world, a thriving population of black rhinos, and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary—the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimpanzees.

Alongside its conservation initiatives, Ol Pejeta offers classic safari experiences with opportunities to see the Big Five, rare species such as Grevy’s zebra and Jackson’s hartebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife. Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Your adventure begins in the morning with a drive from Nairobi heading north through the scenic central highlands. On clear days, you may enjoy stunning views of Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peaks along the way. You will arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. After some relaxation, you will embark on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy, where you may encounter elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and both black and white rhinos. A highlight of your visit will be the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which offers insight into the rescue and protection of these primates, as well as the chance to see the last remaining northern white rhinos. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta – Nairobi

You will begin the day with an early morning game drive in the conservancy, when animals are most active and the landscape is bathed in golden light. This is an excellent opportunity to spot predators returning from their nightly hunts and observe herds of antelope grazing against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kenya. After the drive, you will return to your lodge or camp for breakfast, then check out. On your way back to Nairobi, you may choose to extend your adventure with an optional visit to the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, a sanctuary dedicated to preserving rare and endangered species while also supporting conservation education. After the visit, you will continue your journey and arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari.

Cancellation policy

Safari invoice cancellation  charges  for both Kenya & Tanzania Safaris.

  • Cancellation  up to 60 days prior to commencement of the safari: Zero  cancellation charges.
  • Cancellation  up to 35 days prior to commencement of the safari : 25% cancellation charges
  • Cancellation  up to 15 days prior to commencement of the safari : 50% cancellation charges
  • Cancellation  less than 14 days or more than 7 days prior to safari start : 75% cancellation charges
  • Cancellation  7 days or less before commencement of  safari – Zero refund, 100% cancellation charges apply.
  • Refunds due to you in the event of safari cancellation can only be credited to the original credit / debit card used in making of initial payment, if within 6-months of refund payment.
  • In the event of a cancellation, please be advised that a 5% administrative fee will be levied to account for transaction charges.
